To our U.S. Pain community,

Join us on September 23 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. ET for a webinar, Identifying Predictors of Chronic Pain: How the NIH HEAL Initiative® is Changing the Pain Research Landscape

As part of Pain Awareness Month, the NIH HEAL Initiative® and the U.S. Pain Foundation are collaborating to discuss cutting-edge research that seeks to identify predictors contributing to the development of chronic musculoskeletal pain—the most common type of chronic pain.

During this webinar, you’ll hear from:- Linda Porter, PhD, Director, Office of Pain Policy and Planning, NINDS, who will provide an overview of the NIH HEAL Initiative and explain why finding reliable chronic pain biomarkers is important for people with pain.- Laura Simons, PhD, Principal Investigator of the SPRINT (Signature for Pain Recovery IN Teens) study, who will present her findings and key insights from the research, including how understanding biomarkers can inform better treatment decisions for chronic pain.- Ashley McDonnell, who will share her personal journey with chronic pain and her experience participating in Dr. Simons’ research. She’ll discuss how patient input is driving meaningful change in chronic pain research.

Cindy Steinberg, national director of policy and advocacy for U.S. Pain Foundation, will moderate.
